Guest Review: Hackers and Painters by Paul Graham

Genre: Non-fiction

It is not a deep and hard book, it is a book not only written to the programmers but also to the public about introducing the computer world, which is not a mystery at all, it’s the world we live in at the moment.

“Hackers” has been a misunderstood term for a long time, people usually relate it to cybercriminals. But actually, it is a spirit of freedom of knowledge. “Hackers” is an ordinary job like “Painters”, which requires creative problem-solving skills. The attitude of the author could be annoying but the content he shares is reasonable.

When you read this book, you don’t have to read in order or finish all chapters, just pick the one chapter you are interested in and start from anywhere.
