An Interview with MIE campus cat

Our little friend has been making waves on social media lately (see @mie.campus.cat on Instagram) – we managed to catch the MIE campus cat on a busy patrol around campus for an interview.

You’re becoming quite the campus celebrity. How are you handling this new-found fame?

Water off a duck’s back…or a cat’s I should say.

Why won’t you come around the St. Pats building?

Not enough treats on offer.

Have you any book recommendations?

The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse is a classic story, but the kitchen cat in it gets a bad rap. I have just finished reading Rigatoni the Pasta Cat by Michael Rosen – if you really want to understand the plight of cats and our endless quest for food, I would highly recommend it.

Colm Ó Foghlú

In 2023 MIE Artist in Residence, Colm Ó Foghlú, inspired by the Marino Labyrinth, composed a suite ‘A Space Among the Stones’.  The four movements of the suite reflect the four elements of the Labyrinth Walk.  You can listen to the suite here.
